We are back again with the second part of our interview with Phoenix Theatre Associate Managing Director, Mary Lou Stephens. We’re going to talk in a little bit more detail about the Phoenix Theatre itself and the upcoming events we’re excited for.

Phoenix Theatre is actually composed of 3 different stages. Each one is unique and each one hosts different kinds of shows. They even rent out space on one of the stages to other local theatre companies to perform their shows. It’s a great service to those smaller companies.

"Each stage at the theatre is unique and intimate."

As far as upcoming shows are concerned, there are a ton to be excited about. In the Heights, Billy Elliot, and Avenue Q are just a few of the great shows coming to Phoenix Theatre in the next few months.

Another big event coming to the theatre in the near future is the New Works Festival. This is something that’s been going on for 18 years, and it’s a chance for playwrights from around the country to get their new works produced and workshopped. The theatre provides them with actors, staged readings, and even a director to help them work on their pieces. It’s great to bring these works to life, and the crowning jewel of this year’s festival, When You Wish is a story about Walt Disney that is premiering soon.

If you have any questions for myself or Mary Lou about Phoenix Theatre, the best way to reach her is to visit phoenixtheatre.com or give the box office a call at (602)-254-2151. There are a ton of things happening on their campus over the next few months, and it’s all right there on the site. Phoenix Theatre is located at 100 E. Mcdowell Rd, and is adjacent to the Phoenix Art Museum.

Thanks so much to Mary Lou for joining us. If you have any real estate related questions for me, I would be glad to help you. I look forward to hearing from you!
